Part 2 of the Chicago trip consisted of more shopping, eating, drinking, and a mini cooper dressed as a Peter Cottontail. Happy Easter!
It was 10am as we stepped out to the concrete retail jungle. The wind was knocked out of us by...well, more wind. I don't know what was worse, the cold weather or my mother complaining about it. Usually people in the northern part of the country take vacations to warmer weather, we just went east. So packing was somewhat difficult since I was hoping for a reprieve from
the frozen tundra Michigan.
We started out on
Michigan Avenue and after a few hours made our way to
The Hancock Building to sip spirits in the rooftop bar overlooking all of Chi-town. Thankfully the dense fog lifted long enough for a photo. We couldn't visit the windy city without continuing the travel tradition of drinking in high altitudes (see
Vancouver and
Seattle blogs).
